Benna Bos is an award-winning author of sapphic fiction with a deep love for curiosity, adventure, and a good story. Benna’s tales of love and mystery contain imperfect heroines and impeccable hounds. If you pick up a Benna Bos book you’re guaranteed romance—maybe mystery too—and definitely dogs.

Meet Me at an Author Event

GCLS

At the 2026 GCLS Conference I moderated an incredible panel on branding and a reader spotlight with seven incredible authors. I also served on a panel about connecting authors and readers and did my own reader spotlight reading from “Beginners’ Guide to Fake Marriage.” Can’t wait to see what GCLS 2027 brings!

Read Out

Read Out 2026 was my first, and it was A-MAZING! I served on two panels, one about writing mysteries and one about neurodiversity. I can’t wait to go back to St. Pete for Read Out 2027!

San Francisco Pride

I set up a booth at San Francisco Pride for the first time in 2026. I met so many amazing readers and fellow authors. I can’t wait to do it again in 2027!

BEGINNERS’ GUIDE TO FAKE MARRIAGE:

“I loved this book so much! It’s super sweet and low angst and just perfect for a summery beach read.

Missy and Quincy are absolutely adorable and both just so unserious in their own ways. I was laughing from the first page to the last. A book about a pair of dog trainers is just as chaotic as you would think and only half of the chaos is caused by the dogs. My favorite part of this book was the meddling families who ended up causes most of the drama.

I enjoyed this book so much that devoured it in a day. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a low angst, age gap, marriage of convenience romance.”

THIS MEANS WAR:

“I really enjoyed this sapphic romance, filled with the tension of enemies to lovers and surrounded by the coziness of small-town-in-the-middle-of-nowhere vibes. Overall, would definitely recommend this sweet and steamy read!”

“I loved this book so much! It had the perfect amount of angst and mystery to make me never want to put it down. The stakes were high enough that I needed to know what happened next without it being stressful to read. The vibes were just right.”

“An absolutely phenomenal love story. Bos does a beautiful job of intertwining the history of Theia with where it is at currently. The history also shows how the LGBTQ+ community has been in hidden corners we didn't even know, which is so powerful, especially now.”
